Love and let go - Shankly & Klopp

This season is telling us that a generation change is at the steps in Liverpool FC. But how does that work when a manager is so close to his players and love them after all the trophies and success the players have brought to the club? There hasn’t been a manager in LFC that is more alike the great Bill Shankly than Jürgen Klopp. They have both been really good man- to- man- managers and they have both been very inspirational managers, who have been getting the best out of players. How do you then let them go when they still have a few years left of their playing days?

The power of songs

Kieran Molyneux grew up not far from Anfield Stadium and had a challenging upbringing. For him, LFC and music became important escapes and made him dream. All these years later, he travels the world singing for fellow Reds with Boss Nights as a self-taught musician. Kieran is this week’s guest of honour in LFC Talk, warming up to the Champions League match against Real Madrid together with Lynn Irwin, David Fairclough and host Ragnhild Lund Ansnes.

This week’s podcast is truly inspiring for those who want to follow their own path away from the mainstream and for those who would like to improve their performance as professional dancer, choreographer and performance coach Rob Glover is Fairclough and Ansnes’ LFC Talk guest.
Coming from Bootle, Glover took up ballet to improve his footwork in boxing and the rest is history - working for Strickly Come Dancing in the UK and Dancing with the Stars in the US, but even more impressive is it how he started teaching dance in countries like Finland at the age of 15. Rob is an avid Red and shares how being a football fanatic is both of great help and hurdles in his international career. Enjoy!

Fairclough’s Comeback

 

Liverpool Legend David Fairclough has learnt so much from recovering from a stroke and he is positive that being a sports' man has helped him recover. This week we talk about setting targets.
