Love and let go - Shankly & Klopp
Saturday Mar 18, 2023
Saturday Mar 18, 2023
This season is telling us that a generation change is at the steps in Liverpool FC. But how does that work when a manager is so close to his players and love them after all the trophies and success the players have brought to the club? There hasn’t been a manager in LFC that is more alike the great Bill Shankly than Jürgen Klopp. They have both been really good man- to- man- managers and they have both been very inspirational managers, who have been getting the best out of players. How do you then let them go when they still have a few years left of their playing days?
Liverpool Legend David Fairclough was a young player training with the first team in Shankly’s days and Karen Elizabeth Gill grew up with Shankly as he was her granddad. This episode is about to love and to let go. Hosted by Ragnhild Lund Ansnes. Enjoy!

NTRO: As this season is testing us as fans, we have to remember that some seasons have to allow regeneration of the team. Mark Maguill from The Echo’s Blood Red Podcast is this week’s guests when Liverpool legend David Fairclough, Karen Elizabeth Gill and host Ragnhild Lund Ansnes sit around the table in Hotel Tia’s Player’s Lounge to talk about the Mighty Reds and iconic Bill Shankly. Mark’s job covering the Reds is most certainly harder when the Reds struggle to perform and he shares with us how he copes as a fan in disappointing spells with his favourite team. Sponsorships and strikers’ choices of cars and living in walking distance to the ground and a more friendly rivalry between the Reds and the Blues in the city back in the days are some topics. Enjoy! #LFC #Liverpool LiverpoolFC #podcast

Performance input

Friday Jan 27, 2023
This week’s podcast is truly inspiring for those who want to follow their own path away from the mainstream and for those who would like to improve their performance as professional dancer, choreographer and performance coach Rob Glover is Fairclough and Ansnes’ LFC Talk guest.
Coming from Bootle, Glover took up ballet to improve his footwork in boxing and the rest is history - working for Strickly Come Dancing in the UK and Dancing with the Stars in the US, but even more impressive is it how he started teaching dance in countries like Finland at the age of 15. Rob is an avid Red and shares how being a football fanatic is both of great help and hurdles in his international career. Enjoy!

Being at The Kop makes him forget everything. It is his home away from home.
